About Our Website

Good Shepherd

This website is owned and managed by Fr Achilles Kiwanuka Machumilane, a priest of Bukoba Dioceses in Tanzania. Jesus tells us that He came so that we may have life and have it to the full, “NIMEKUJA ILI WAWE NA UZIMA” (Jn 10:10). I believe that every person has a call and duty to continue this Mission until Jesus comes again.

This site therefore, is my contribution to providing  spiritual pastures for ALL TO HAVE LIFE AND HAVE IT TO THE FULL(Jn 10:10).

Here, I will be sharing with you my spiritual and academic insights and experiences through Homilies, articles and reflections. I also invite any interested Priests and other Christians to contribute to this end through discussions, and through questions and answers on my BLOG.  It is important to note, however that contributions made will have to adhere to the standards of the site and to the Teachings of the Catholic Church. Changes may be made by the site administrator without notice to the contributor to suit these standards. All are welcome.

I also understand that “TO HAVE LIFE” pertains to both spiritual and material well being of the human person as whole. However, in our societies there are those who are less privileged, especially ORPHANS, when it comes to material well being. They need assistance.

Therefore, this website ‘Wawe na Uzima’ is meant to be a forum to bring together well wishers to contribute and assist me in realizing my dream “TO PUT UP A SCHOOL THAT WILL OFFER FREE EDUCATION TO THE POOR ORPHANS” so that they may also HAVE LIFE AND HAVE IT TO THE FULL(Jn 10:10).

I was an orphan myself and I cannot forget the difficulties I experienced in raising fees for my studies. But I cannot also forget the generosity of all those who helped me to make ends meet. Moved by such experiences I have a dream to contribute to the Education of the orphans. Please join me in realizing my dream through your contribution as directed here below. Help me also to sell this idea and bring more well wishers to this noble mission.

It is my hope that from this website “you will joyously draw water from the springs of salvation. And in that day you will say, “Give thanks to the LORD, call on His name. Make known His deeds among the peoples; Make them remember that His name is exalted” (Is 12:3).
